Hello! i’m darryl

 

I am an interior designer with over a decade of experience within the industry. Since starting my own interior design studio in 2019, I have progressed and formed a strong client base. I am also well travelled and can adapt very quickly to situations.

I am looking for an exciting new Contract/ Freelance or Client Direct role, where I can use my skills to their full potential.

    -Take responsibility for the creative vision and the standard of output across team members who I hire on a freelance basis.

  • Muza Lab

    2018 - 2019

    After joining Muza Lab in late 2018 I was immediately involved in multiple projects and travelling internationally for site meetings and material sourcing.

    Within the year I carried out the following but not restricted to:

    -International client facing.

    -Forming and reviewing Drawing Packages for all types of projects, including Hotels, Model Rooms, Resorts and Sports Clubs.

    -Sourcing stones for projects which involved visiting out of country quarry’s and suppliers.

    -Supporting my colleagues in any area that was needed.

  • Cantormasters Interior Design

    2013 - 2018

    I joined Cantormasters as an Intern in the early stages of the company, while still studying for my degree. From there I took the company from a start up to a fully functional design studio.

    While there I carried out the following but not restricted to:

    -Client facing, Interaction and Relationship building.

    -Efficient in all types of planning submissions.

    -Able to take a client supplied plan and through concepts, discussions and costing, able to deliver a completed project on time and on budget.

    -Managed and involved in multiple projects that have been shortlisted in worldwide competitions.

Having established my own Interior Design Studio in 2019, I have all the necessary equipment and software to be fully prepared to work from home. Not needing to travel into an office, I can start work earlier and produce a much higher level of output. I am used to visiting sites across the UK, so I’ll be happy to visit where needed.

I have all the essential insurances and licenses needed to be a Contractor/ Freelancer (outside IR35) or an independent Interior Design Studio, producing high levels of detail and quality.

FAQs

  • When it comes to accepting a permanent position, at this moment in time I am concentrating on DCI, so it would be hard for me to accept.

    But never say never..

  • Within 5 years I see myself having a well established interior design Studio, with my own team and office space.

  • I have a design studio with all the equipment and software needed to produce a full interior experience. I wont need to rely on you to provide anything, apart from the work you need help on.

    I can support you and your team with an upbeat personality and forward thinking attitude.

  • I can provide references upon request

  • Not having a public portfolio was an easy choice for me. Not needing to show off or parade my previous projects to the world. It creates a sense of exclusivity or mystery.
